Birds of a Feather

This book is a collection of fiction and nonfiction animal stories by NCPA (Northern California Publishers & Authors) authors and poets. All kinds of animals, a wide variety of writing styles, something to please every animal lover.

Be sure to check out my story, Lizard Love, a semi-tongue-in-cheek spoof on folks who become addicted to the joys of owning reptiles. If you'd like to hear the story read to you, it's under the storyteller tab.

More Birds of a Feather

From their size, color, and the way they see the world, animals are diverse—and so are the delightful stories in this anthology. Ranging from legends and true tales of wildland bears to a memorable veterinary house call and stories of humans who become animals (or act like them), this collection is all about animals and our relationships with them. Meet rabbits, lizards, guinea pigs, potbelly pigs, horses, seals, owls, spiders, coyotes, wolves, elephants, and of course plenty of cats and dogs who will touch your heart and remind you that no matter how many legs we have, we all have much in common.

Be sure to check out my story, Introduction to Chickenese, a semi-tongue-in-cheek spoof on folks who take on backyard chickens. If you'd like to hear the story read to you, it's under the storyteller tab.

All Holidays, 2020 Front Cover.jpeg

All Holidays 2020

Our cover indicates winter holidays, but NCPA offers this warning: Don't Judge a Book by its Cover. ALL Holidays

means exactly that, ALL HOLIDAYS. NCPA's 1st Annual ALL Holiday 2020 anthology includes a variety of traditional and non-traditional holidays from New Year's Day to New Year's Eve, with celebrations from many lands, religions, and cultures. For the first time we introduce poetry in all forms: from rhyming and free form, to traditional and non-traditional Haiku, plus Haikai, Haibun, Renga and Cherita.

Be sure to check out my story, Hanukkah Paper, a funny true story about what happened to a on Christmas Eve when the poor husband was sent out for wrapping paper back in the 1970s when almost everything in town was closed.
